This directory is designed to help webmasters and other Internet users promote the personal finance sites and services they feel are important. It is unique in that it has been designed from the perspective of the webmaster and provides contributors with the ability to create a separate page on the site complete with outbound links using custom anchor text and the unheard of ability to use HTML in site descriptions. In addition, we do not charge for inclusion and do not require a reciprocal link (although submissions with reciprocal links will be considered for inclusion before submissions without a reciprocal link).This service does not come entirely without cost, however. A system such as this requires more administration than a typical cookie-cutter directory. This means more time is required to approve listings and more restrictions have to be put in place to ensure the quality of the directory. Below we have listed some of our policies for dealing with submissions to the directory. This list is not all inclusive and is subject to change, but it is a good indicator of how we will consider submissions.
Acceptable Content: The subject of this directory is clear and content that does not contribute accordingly will be removed. This is not a general web directory. The relevancy of submitted content is entirely up to the discretion of the directory editors who can decline new submissions or remove existing submissions as they see fit.
When submitting a listing to the directory, submitters have the opportunity to add HTML content that will be displayed on the listing's unique page on the site. The HTML can be used to enhance the look of the listing, add links, create simple forms, include pictures from remote hosts, etc. The HTML code may not be used in a way that affects the look and functionality of the site and may not include any scripting. Additionally, HTML content such as excessive links will be removed as it does not provide value to human visitors.
Editing Submissions: All new directory listings have a username and password associated with them that the submitter can use to edit the listing in the future. Edited listings will be removed from the directory until the listing has been reviewed and approved.
The editors of this site also reserve the right to edit submitted content providing that the changes do not affect the message. This includes correcting formatting, spelling and grammar errors, etc.
Webmaster Submissions: We allow visitors to submit sites to the directory that they do not own, however, upon request of the site webmaster, we will edit or remove the listing. If you did not submit the listing we have for your site and would like to make changes to the listing, please contact us at webmaster@the-money-directory.com.
Affiliate Links: We allow affiliates to post information about a site and include their affiliate ID in outbound links so they receive credit for the links, however, we reserve the right to sign up for the affiliate programs and replace the links with our own affiliate links.
